My name is Chanel Byfield and I qualified with a Level 3 Diploma in Children’s learning and Development. I have worked within childcare for the past 6 years, where I have successfully worked my way up from beginning as an apprentice studying level 2 childcare, to a room leader and onto a Deputy Manager and now Manager. Working with children has always been a passion of mine from a young age, as I feel for me there is nothing more rewarding than supporting a child to learn and develop skills, exploring their abilities as well as the environment around them, to see them achieve and support them into becoming confident, strong and independent children.

I started working with children in 2019 when I began my childcare career with Chestnut. From this position, I have learned and gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience that has supported my progression to becoming room leader, a third in charge and now Deputy Manager within The Maples. Chestnut has given me the opportunity to complete my Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship to become a qualified practitioner and I look forward to having further positive experiences within the company. I have a great passion for working with children of all abilities and thoroughly enjoy supporting them to achieve!
