I am passionate about making children’s early experiences the best they can be at our nursery. I believe that a child’s early years and development lay the foundations for the rest of their lives, and it’s amazing being able to be part of offering the best provision to all who come through our doors. I have been working for Chestnut Nursery Schools for over 6 years, starting out as bank staff and then full time practitioner before making the move to room lead, Deputy Manager and now Manager at the Diamond Centre. I have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years and am also SEND qualified. The team here at Chestnut are always keen to provide the best for the children in our care. I enjoy working in all rooms, seeing the children grow in abilities and confidence and helping support them and their families as they develop their sense of self and their view of the world around them. No two days are the same working with young children and I love being part of their early years journey.

I began working at Chestnut Nursery Schools in February 2024. Prior to this, I worked in other settings, and over time, I progressed from being a midday supervisor to becoming a Senior Room Lead and Deputy Manager. I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (Early Years Educator) at a distinction level, and I am currently pursuing my Early Years Senior Practitioner Level 5. Once I complete this, I intend to continue and progress to Level 6. Being a part of a team that creates a safe and happy environment for children to learn and thrive in is something I truly enjoy. I find my work rewarding because I can support children's education and learning during their early years by providing them with rich and stimulating environments and activities. I strongly believe that providing children with the best start in their early years educational journey can help them reach their full potential and prepare them for school.
