I have been working with children from Early Years to Year 6 key stage for the past 10 years. Previous to this I trained as a Children’s Photographer and also enjoyed teaching classroom workshops in schools. Back in 2009 I then began my first steps into Early Years and completed my Level 2 and Level 3 NVQs in Early Years Children’s Learning and Development and in 2012 Children’s and Young Peoples Workforce 0 to 19 years. In 2013 I progressed to a Deputy Managers role completing my Leadership and Management training and Setting Safeguarding Lead, working with children up to 11 years in a large out of school provision in Norwich. I have always been extremely passionate around working with children of all ages and creating fun, exciting, rich learning and play environments to meet all children’s needs and abilities.

I began my career within childcare 10 years ago. During this time, I have completed my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and my BA Hons Degree in Childhood Studies. I have worked my way up from a practitioner through to a senior lead and now a deputy manager. I started working for Chestnut Nursery Schools in 2019, since then I have grown into the role of deputy manager here at St Nicholas House. I find my role so rewarding, supporting all children during their crucial early years to reach their individual goals through rich and exciting learning opportunities. Providing all children and families with the highest level of care and support is my passion. I am very passionate about training our staff and promoting continued professional development, to give our children the very best outcomes here at St Nicholas House. I feel the skills and knowledge of our staff are crucial to preserving the high practice we offer at St Nicholas House. It is extremely rewarding to know that we have made a difference to so many children’s and family’s early years and helped prepare them for their next transitions.
