My name is Kim, and I have over seven years of experience working in early years childcare. I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Young People's Workforce and am passionate about giving every child the very best start in life. I was previously part of the Halbutt Street Nursery team before taking time away to raise my own family. I am delighted to have returned as Nursery Manager, bringing both my professional knowledge and personal experience as a parent to the role. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, happy, and valued in a nurturing environment where they are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow. My aim is to support each child in developing the confidence, independence, and skills they need to reach their full potential and enjoy a successful transition to school. I am proud to lead a caring and dedicated team who share my commitment to providing outstanding early years education and care. Together, we strive to create a welcoming environment where children flourish, families feel supported, and every child is inspired to achieve their very best.

I have worked at Chestnut Nursery School nearly 2 years as a special needs co-ordinator. I have a level 2 and 3 qualification in childcare diploma and have worked in childcare for fourteen years. I have enjoyed working and supporting children throughout those years watching them learn new skills and build on their social skills and communication and language. I have been promoted twice since starting at Chestnut. My first promotion was third in charge in May 2022 then in July 2023 I was promoted to deputy manager alongside my SENCO role. I enjoy supporting children with additional needs and love watching how they are transitioning into nursery and learning to become independent ready for school.
