My name is Nadia Virlan, I have successfully achieved a Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce. I have been working with Chestnut Nursery School The Maples since January 2021 as a room leader within the Toddler Room. Since March 2021, I have been a Deputy Manager for The Maples nursery which has been a great opportunity for me to develop and learn new skills. I am now the Manager at Chestnut Nursery School Halbutt Street. I have 3 years’ experience of working with children which has helped me to gain a substantial amount of knowledge to support their learning and development, to help them achieve the best possible outcomes and have access to all opportunities provided. I am very passionate about working within the Early Years sector and feel that this is an important attribute to maintain.

I have worked at Chestnut Nursery School nearly 2 years as a special needs co-ordinator. I have a level 2 and 3 qualification in childcare diploma and have worked in childcare for fourteen years. I have enjoyed working and supporting children throughout those years watching them learn new skills and build on their social skills and communication and language. I have been promoted twice since starting at Chestnut. My first promotion was third in charge in May 2022 then in July 2023 I was promoted to deputy manager alongside my SENCO role. I enjoy supporting children with additional needs and love watching how they are transitioning into nursery and learning to become independent ready for school.
