Forest Gate
Here at Chestnut Nursery School Earlham Grove, based in Forest Gate, East London, children enjoy learning, playing, and developing together. They play confidently with different tools and learn new skills each and every day. This is shown when the children take part in our Core Curriculum, cooking together. Our children explore different smells and textures, while experimenting with different colours.
They are able to watch their creation develop and see the outcome with delight, sharing their baking with friends and family members. We love to cook. Our parents feel so happy and secure knowing their child is in good hands, and that they are learning, growing and developing with great care.
Book VisitI have recently joined Chestnut Nursery School but have worked in early years for over 4 years now whilst doing my early years degree. Previously, whilst working in early years, I worked with children who have special educational needs, which was so rewarding and gave me so much knowledge also. I have seen so much with working in the early years sector and can say it’s the most rewarding job. As much as parents watch their little ones grow, we also watch them grow too and everyday is so different. Having my own son has made me also relate to a lot of parents and understanding their needs and requests. I love to keep an open-door policy within my nursery. I welcome all children and parents to Earlham Grove and I can’t wait to see all the children prosper in their early stages of life.
Earlham Grove
I have been working in Early Years for over 3 decades now and find working with children the most rewarding job ever! Never is there a dull moment. Over these years I have worked as a Nursery Manager and Deputy for a variety of settings. I really enjoy working with all ages, I particularly enjoy supporting and mentoring new staff into this nursery, along with settling in new families and showing off our amazing nursery setting. I would say that I cannot see myself doing any other type of job that brings so much joy and happiness in my life. I can truly say I wake up in the morning looking forward to coming into work, seeing how the children here flourish. In my spare time I am a keen gym member, I also enjoy cooking, going out with friends and families for meals. I also enjoy long walks and listening to music.
