I began working in Early Years in 2016 and have since achieved an array of childcare related qualifications, including my Level 3 in Early Years and becoming a Special Educational Needs coordinator and Designated Person for Safeguarding. I started at Chestnut Nursery Schools Cottenham when we opened in October 2021 and it has been fantastic to be part of the nursery school's growth and all its fantastic achievements so far, including our Outstanding OFSTED report in July 2023. My passion is ensuring children are provided with an enriched learning environment, which will enhance their fundamental skills in all areas of development. I believe, as Early Years practitioners it is our responsibility to enable children to have the best possible start to their early childhood, which will have a positive impact on them, later in life.

I have worked in childcare since 2010 and have a real passion for working in Early Years. I have a huge variety of qualifications, including my Level 3 in Childcare as well as being a Designated Safeguarding Officer. I have learnt so much during my time at Chestnut Nursery Schools Cottenham, having progressed within my role from Third in Charge to Deputy Manager in September 2022. My passion lies within supporting children's progress throughout their time at nursery, forming those key fundamental skills ready to thrive at school. I love the Forest School ethos we have here at Chestnut and believe that children gain so much from having the same learning experiences in both the indoor and outdoor environments. My vision for this nursery is to continue to provide children with the opportunities to reach their full potential and enable them to learn and progress within all areas of their development and become lifelong learners and critical thinkers.
