I started my career in Early Years in 2018 after I completed my degree in Early Education and Childhood studies. This then prompted me to complete my Early Years Teacher Status and I was a preschool teacher for 4 years. I love working in the classroom environment and giving children the support and guidance they need to learn and grow. Since then, I had another job as a Nursery Manager before I started at Chestnut Nursery School Chesterton. I believe all children should be given equal opportunities and their uniqueness should be celebrated. All children should be able to feel safe and secure in an environment that provides them with the opportunities to reach their full potential and this is what we strive for at Chestnut Nursery School Chesterton.

I have worked in early years settings for 6 years and have worked my way up from Practitioner to Deputy Manager here at Chestnut Nursery School Chesterton. I completed my Level 2 childcare qualification at college and then completed my Level 3 qualification here at Chestnut. I enjoy working here as part of a passionate and enthusiastic team, providing care and learning opportunities to the children who attend. I also believe in promoting positive bonds with parents and carers to further support the children in our care and give them the best starts in life. Working together, we aim to promote the health, safety and happiness of all the children who walk through the door.

My name is Kayleigh, I've been working in childcare since 2003 and I've been working with Chestnut since March 2018. I have been fortunate enough to build my career in childcare starting off as a student and working my way to Deputy Manager. I really enjoy working with children because this is where it all begins; a child's development. I've learnt that children are like sponges, waiting and willing to soak up all the information they need to have a bright and happy future. I also enjoy building a partnership with a child's parents and carers to provide a safe and stimulating environment for the children, offering a variety of creative activities and having the opportunity to explore the outdoors and indoors while helping the children learn through play and fun. I also enjoy the opportunity to see the children's uniqueness come out and watch them blossom and see their confidence grow as they grow.
