The children and team at Chestnut Nursery School John Perry have been exploring their book of the month - ‘Ada Twist Scientist’, as well as exploring activities for British Science Week. The children have been reading the book of the month, and have begun to explore space through activities such as creating a solar system and learning about rockets.
 
The children have thoroughly enjoyed doing science experiments with their teachers such as mentos in a coke bottle to see the reaction the mentos create. Class 3 helped to make a volcano and watched as the teachers poured the vinegar into the bi-carb, the children had a guess at what would happen to the volcano, the children were very surprised to see the volcano erupting. The children have also been exploring how to create different textures and using measuring equipment to create their own science experiment whilst wearing goggles.
