Our Ducklings Have Hatched!

5 Jun 2026
Our ducklings hatching has given the children at Chestnut Nursery School Markyate the most magical learning experience. They watched the entire journey unfold, from tiny eggs to fluffy ducklings, and were completely fascinated by every stage of the life cycle.

Once the ducklings hatched, the children helped to gently feed them and learned how to care for such delicate little creatures. Their favourite moment was watching the ducklings take their very first swim. The room was full of excitement as the ducklings splashed around!

This hands‑on experience has helped the children understand nature, growth and responsibility in such a meaningful way.
