Pottering About In The Garden

1 Sep 2026
Inspired by our story of Jack and the Beanstalk in May, the children at Chestnut Nursery School Greatfields planted tomato, cucumber, and runner bean seeds and have been carefully nurturing them ever since. They have loved watching their plants grow and are so excited to see our tomatoes now turning red! Through this hands-on experience, the children have been learning about the life cycle of plants, how to care for living things, and the importance of healthy eating. They are now looking forward to harvesting and enjoying their homegrown tomatoes, cucumbers, and runner beans as part of a healthy snack.
