JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are looking for a passionate, friendly and hard-working Cover Staff Childcare Practitioner to join our Cover Staff team working throughout a range of our Chestnut Nursery School settings. No day will ever be the same with potentially working in a different nursery each day.
We have several sites in East London, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. You will not be expected to travel between these 3 areas. Travel will be between the settings within these areas.
This is a flexible role working full time or part-time, 8 hour a days, Monday to Friday all year round, following a shift pattern. We are also able to offer zero hour contract for added flexibility. Our settings are open between the hours of 7.30am - 6.30pm.
The successful applicant will need to have understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS) and have a strong passion for a child-centred approach to play and learning. As a Cover Staff Practitioner you are a key member of the nursery's support team, responsible for helping to maintain the delivery of high-quality care and learning opportunities when permanent team members are absent.

Light cleaning duties.
Maintain a high level of supervision.
Maintain confidentiality.
DBS will be undertaken.
Child-centred approach to play and learning.
Good communication skills, written and verbal.
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS).
Good time-management.
Flexible team member.
Knowledge & understanding of safeguarding (training provided).
On the update service.
Qualified Level 2/3.
1 years+ experience.
Excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS).
All applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide two suitable references.
